Will They Ever Produce Real Muscle Cars Again?
Many people can remember their first car, and if you're about 40 or 50 years old your first car was probably a genuine American muscle car. All these vehicles have resulted in people searching all over the United States for old muscle cars that need repair. The main reason for this is because nobody produces cars like this anymore. Everyone seems to be wondering why no one has started to develop muscle cars again.
Ford and Chevy still produce Mustangs and Camaros after their introduction in the sixties. The drawback is that these cars today are unlike the powerful muscle cars they once were. When is anyone going to manufacture a muscle car with a 327 and a 4 barrel carburetor again. Unfortunately the reply to this question is most likely never. Interesting light bulbs for cars resource.
The true issue is that people want to perpetually improve things just for the sake of it. One perfect example of this is the 1967 Camaro, which was the most significant muscle cars ever. Despite its popularity, Chevy decided to stop making this particular version. It was likewise the same for the great 1966 Mustang, with all its brilliant styling and power, Ford decided to not make it anymore.
However here comes the funny thing. Volkswagen became aware of the potential to reintroduce the VW Bug and they did. This new Beetle sold very well even with its ultra modern design. If they'd only stuck to the old style, they could have sold more. But these people can't see past the end of their noses and they keep imagining that newer is better.
Probably the most significant question is this. In the event that Chevy ended up with a new Camaro with a 327 engine and 4 barrel carburetor, and if they left out all the computer equipment and built the car like they used to, how many of you would want one? I asked this question to literally countless people throughout the years and they all said they would without delay get one. So what is the problem? It seems like there's a need for these classic cars but it doesn't appear as if the car companies are listening.
At what point is Ford, Chevy or maybe Pontiac planning to say, you know what lets produce a car like we used to. I'm confident that selling these unforgettable American cars will be very worthwhile for the car companies. Until Ford and GM recognize this, we will have people rooting around salvage yards and the Internet for classic muscle cars to rebuild. Jazz up your car with auto window tint.
No one knows possibly someday a muscle car aficionado will end up with an important position in one of those major automobile companies and be able to talk some sense into them. Unfortunately the head folks at these companies have got this belief, that if they think they are creating new and better muscle car, people will want it. I believe we must just go back to the way things were.
